Simple cuboidal epithelia are like "cubes" and usually there
is as much cytoplasm over the nucleus as there is under it.
This section shows simple cuboidal epithelia in the thyroid
gland. In the following photos from your kidney slides
find examples of simple cuboidal and simple squamous epithelium.
