Introduction:This group of web pages provides basic information about cell biology topics.
It was developed by Dr. Gwen
Childs (Chair, Anatomy and Neurobiology, University of Arkansas).
It will also be served and upgraded at Many of the photos taken from texts used by our students. These are used as supplemental handouts and guides for the discussions in our lectures. Most of these topics focus on structure/function correlations. They are not intended to be comprehensive. Some topics, like those focusing on mitochondria, will correlate with biochemistry and physiology lectures that expand students' understanding of that organelle system.
Cell Biology topics:
We hope that this information is useful as you study these concepts throughout your basic science and systems courses. We will keep the pages updated and appreciate any comments or questions you might have. |
