1997 Schedule--Cell Biology Course
CELL 6502
The lectures/discussion sessions for this course are held each day (Monday to Friday) from 2:00-3:00 PM in room 212, Basic Sciences Auditorium. The examinations will be held in SAHS 1.418 on the designated day in the following schedule. The following is the updated course schedule. Students and faculty interested in any or all of these topics are welcome. Please feel free to attend. We recommend that faculty teaching in a particular block attend all the lectures in that block.
The course director is Dr. Gregg Nagle with help from Dr. Gwen Childs See email addresses at the end of this page.
The text for the course is "Molecular Biology of the Cell" by B. Watson, D. Bray, J. Lewis, M. Raff, K. Roberts, J.D. Watson, Third edition, Garland Publishing company, 1994. For the Recombinant DNA sections, the text is: Recombinant DNA by James D. Watson, M. Gilman, J. Witkowski, and M. Zoller, WH Freeman and Co. Text readings are listed in the schedule below.
This is the first year, that the course will offer the Molecular Biology Block as a separate course for students who need only that material. Therefore, students may sign up for that 4 week block by registering for CELX 6000. See Drs. Nagle or Childs for further information. This course will be held from Jan 6, 1997 to Jan 24, 1997 and will carry 2 credit hours.
